Mental Health QI Programme

We are committed to use the model for improvement to ensure it becomes the accepted "best practice" model for change management throughout the organisation. The Programme is incorporating the strategic aims for NHS Lothian to ensure the improved delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care to all.

The service faces similar challenges and the Quality Improvement Plan needs to incorporate this in an inclusive manner.

The identified common priority areas are:

  • Ensure that transitions of care between services are safe, efficient and effective.

  • Improving the quality of mental and physical healthcare.

  • Improvement access to assessment and evidence-based treatment with the most appropriate setting.
