The Quality Improvement skills course is aimed at staff who want to lead small-scale, focused tests of change within their service  area.  The programme provides staff with the skills, knowledge and methodology to understand their system, identify quality Improvement opportunities, implement them and measure the  progress and outcomes.

As part of the course, alongside attending all 5 days of the learning sessions (approximately 1pm-4pm), each participant must work on a Quality Improvement project and present its findings or developments during session 5.  Participants are asked to complete project-related assignments and study the given learning modules to aid their learning and are encouraged to utilise the QI learning, tools and methodologies for their own project.
