About Us
Jen Evans
Quality Improvement & Safety Assurance Manager
Edinburgh HSCP
jennifer.evans@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk
I have worked in various Quality Improvement roles in the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership (formally Edinburgh Community Health Partnership) since 2005. I took up my most recent post as Quality Improvement and Safety Assurance Lead in 2016. I lead on the development, implementation and evaluation of systems and processes using Quality Improvement methodology to improve the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care.
I am passionate about Quality Improvement and have completed the Scottish Improvement Leaders (ScIL) programme which has allowed me to articulate my skills and support services in the partnership to deliver Quality Improvement initiatives. I am also a Quality Improvement Coach and regularly coach colleagues undertaking Quality Training through NHS Lothian Quality Directorate. My vision is to embed a positive culture of Quality Improvement and shared learning across the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership.

I am a Registered General Nurse and have worked in various specialities and hospitals. I have been in a senior nurse position for many years and have worked as a Clinical Nurse Manager at the RIE for a number of years. I have always been interested in quality improvement and improving outcomes for patients and was fortunate to complete ScIL in 2019. I currently work in EHSCP as Professional Lead for Quality and Standards allowing me to continue on my improvement journey in a community setting. I am also a QI coach for the NHS Lothian coaching network and hope to continue to encourage and support others with their quality improvement ideas and projects.
