PQL Handbook
We have developed a Practice Quality Lead Handbook for PQLs in Lothian.
This handbook is designed to be a practical resource to help you in your role as a Practice Quality Lead (PQL). It was developed in response to a Lothian-wide survey of PQLs in February 2023 where 67% of respondents indicated that a handbook would be helpful to support their PQL role.
It is intended for you to dip in and out of when you need to find information or resources, rather than a ‘textbook’ for you to read from start to finish.
It covers the following:
Useful models and tools to help guide your QI work
Tips on how to make QI happen in your practice
Learning from previous QI work that has taken place
QI training
Where to go for QI advice, information and resources
How to protect time for quality improvement
Information about data sources and analysis
